Hello everyone,
I am a pre-nursing student. Was just wondering about what are the options for a Registered Nurse? I know that I could start working at the hospital but wat kind of experiences would I have...
I want to work as a RN at a hospital for 3-4 years and then thinking to go for a Travel Nursing!
what kind of experiences would you recomend?
any inputs will be appreciated!

Gosh, just take a look around this great site for examples of everything you can do as an RN. Most places want at least one year of Med-Surg experience before you can do anything else. Then, try to get into a specialty that interests you. Or even cross-train to other areas to get a taste of other specialties. The more different types of experiences you have, the more marketable you'll be as a travel nurse!
Good Luck!!

With the nursing shortage, several hospitals are taking new graduates into areas other than med-surg. Two of my classmates went right into Labor & Delivery, two more into the Neonatal ICU, and several into adult ICU or step-down units.
As far as travel nursing goes, I suggest looking at several different travel companies websites (http://www.crosscountrytravcorps.com, http://www.accessnurses.com, travelnursing.com). On most of those sites you can search for jobs by specialty to see where the openings are. One of the great things about nursing is that you have lots of options!
