Anyone applying to WSU to start spring semester 2020? I'm working on my application now for the Spokane cohort. I'm a transfer student, and this will be a second career for me (and a second bachelors).

Hi all,

I applied for the Yakima campus as a transfer student, just had my interview last Friday. Keeping my fingers crossed. I applied last fall and was waitlisted but didn’t get in. My gpa is definitely hurting me. I think I have a 3.4 cum and a 3.65 in prerequisites. 88 on the teas. Felt like I did better on my interview this time around. Really sweating bullets over here though. Good luck to everyone!

Omg congrats on your interview! ? From experience if you were waitlisted for fall(competitive semester), you have a good chance of getting in spring!

Hello sorry, I am late to the party. I had my interview at tri cites last week and it well pretty well (I guess?) I feel like the interview is kind of weird because the two professors that interviewed me barely said anything during the interview. They just keep writing on the paper so I don't really know if I had a good interview or not based on our interaction. Does anyone know what they are looking for during the interview?

@Crazytrip201 my understanding is that they are looking to see if your values line up with the nursing schools core values: integrity, caring, altruism, social justice and maximizing patient outcomes (I think). That and probably just to make sure you understand how hard the program will be? That is what I think... I felt like I had good interaction with my interviewers, they seemed so nice. But the last round they also seemed really nice and I didn’t get in so who knows. I really tried to up my game this time. I even bought a suit....just praying over here hahah. Good luck!

Has anyone heard anything yet? Letters will be sent out the 4th through the 8th but does anyone know if its usually the last day (8th) we find out? Thanks... ps the anticipation of this is torture lol

Hey Amber,

so I went in to talk with the yakima program coordinator on Monday and she mentioned that those dates aren’t right and that the committee should be meeting on the 15th... so from what she said I don’t think we should hear anything until after that date. But I’m curious to see if anyone has heard anything other than that, I agree the suspense is agonizing:(
