Pay for union hospital

U.S.A. Washington

Published

Hi everyone,

I am thinking of making the transition from a traveling ER nurse to an OR residency program (interview is next week). I am well aware that as a traveler I may more but don't really have a general idea of what I would get paid for hourly and call pay in a union hospital in the Seattle area. Could anyone give me a ballpark range? I'm trying to make the financial aspect work since rent is sky high here but am thinking I'm going to end up taking a 50% pay cut :(

Hi,

It depends on your years of nursing experience. For example at Group Health Cooperative a nurse with seven years of experience will fall at a step 7 which is $38.68. Most hospitals have a union contract.

Good luck!
