I'm starting at WHC October 17th in the new grad RN residency program. I'm moving down to DC from Boston and currently looking for apartments in the area. I'm wondering if there are other out of state nurses moving to start in the program? Possibly someone else is making a move like me and is maybe looking for a roommate! Also I'm just interested in seeing how many people and what other areas people are starting in. If anyone is starting with me on Oct 17th let me know!!:)

I got in to. I am coming from LA and received a phone call yesterday on the unit 4D. Do you already have your lic? I am in a time crunch and trying to figure everything out. And I am definitely looking for a roommate.

I'm licensed in MA but not DC. So im flying down thursday for my physical and then I'm going into the DC board of Nursing while I'm there, because I was told that just mailing everything in will take too long. I guess you need to get fingerprinted and all this other stuff. I'm on 2D and in the same boat- i feel that everything is happening so fast! I don't know anyone in the DC area and I don't want to spend a ton on housing.. so if you are interested in trying to find a place together let me know!

OMG! Congratulations! I want to be at WHC so bad! And I got an offer for October 17,2011 at 4NW! :))

I need to find a place before I can commit. Does anyone know what rent is like near WHC? Or what rent have you found?

savexpigoo: Sorry, but I think the October cohort is the last for the year. If I remember correctly, HR said the next one would be in February or March. Their number is (202) 877-7441.

Congrats to you October RN Program nurses! I will be on 3C.

I'm currently looking for housing and thought how great it would be to live with someone who is starting the program too so my google search has led me here. My physical is scheduled this Friday so I will be in the area this weekend, hopefully to look at some places while I'm there. I hear Columbia Heights is a good neighborhood near WHC. If anyone is still looking for a housemate, please let me know :)

hey are any of you that are starting oct 17th still looking for housing?! I have been looking into a couple of two bedroom places because they are a lot more affordable than 1 bedrooms in the area. let me know and maybe we can live together.
