  1. Did you hear back from Georgetown? I'm apply soon!
  2. Hi everyone, It's been a super duper long time since being on the site. I was hoping to hear back from my two interviews before the deadline for the next start date range. I was so down when I didn't hear back and then to my surprise, the nurse managers of both units contacted me on the 27th and I start on the 9th. Main point: it just takes patience, especially if you know you want this. Oh yeah, and persistence (the good kind-- that has a point). I will be on Nelson 7, Surgical Transplant! Everyone keep your head up, the new year is almost here and I'm praying that you get the offers you are looking for.
  3. With a little prayer and a little magic, maybe MG will call me tomorrow with great news :)
  4. Hey, did you get an offer letter or a phone call? Thanks in advance.
  5. It refers to an RN (usually a licensed new grad) who will accept an RN/UAP position and transition from an unlicensed assistive personnel position such as a clinical associate to wait for an RN position to open up. Thats how it was explained to me.

Yes I interviewed yesterday. Im really nervous!!
  7. Yes, I was told that by the NR as well. When I spoke with the unit manager, she told me she has a desire to hire RN/UAP but doesnt have a position open for an RN but that could change based on someone taking maternity leave. I really like the unit :))

Hey awesome, when do you start? 12/5?

Hey, I had my interview on W4D instead. I really like the unit and the nurse manager. Very sweet. ::Crossing my fingers::, i hope this is the one!

I have my interview in a few days. Do you know when you will hear back from them? And geez, I can't imagine how you must have felt when you experienced that during shadow. Hope you hear soon!
  11. Hi, has anyone transitioned from UAP/RN yet? What was the process? Thanks in advance!

Hi MajesticRN, Did you interview yet? Instead of w4a, I got an interview with W4D. I am a little nervous about the RN/UAP position as I dont know how long it will take to transition to a RN position :/

Oh of course, I would not pass up the opportunity. I really love cardiac though and would love to be a working RN. But, I will take what is offered because this is something I've been patient for. I interviewed with MG for wilmer OR, the decision has not come yet. Now, BW has contacted me for forwarding my app to w4a with no interview email yet and an interview email for Nelson7. Best of luck to you and I! :)

I am a little confused. I recieved the email "Your application has been forwarded to W4A". Then two days ago, I got an email for interviewing with Nelson 7... Is it possible that I can be interviewed for it although my app was not forwarded. The NR sent the email saying "I have reviewed your app and am happy to invite you for an interview". I thought it would be up to the NM of the unit. Or maybe its a typo and its an interview with W4A?

Do you have an interview with the unit? :) I received an email that my app was forwarded. Anyhow, it's been a three business days and I haven't heard back for an interview.
