Washington Hospital Center Residency February 2011 COHORT

Hello everyone I wanted to start a separate thread for people interviewing for the February 2011 Residency, I just got the e-mail a couple of minutes ago saying that I will be interviewing in December 16, I graduated in May and this is my first interview :uhoh3: so I am a little bit nervous.

If anybody that went to program has any tips, I will appreciate it! Thanks!:nurse:

Hey! I have an interview on the same day! Mine is at 2pm. This is the first interview that I have had since finishing school. I have a couple of other hospitals that are interested but not at the interview stage yet. Good luck!

Look at the website for Suburban Hospital. They have a "tips for interviewing" under their career section. It should give you some good points.

Hi everyone!

I also received an interview for WHC's February cohort. Mines is scheduled for the Dec 8th. Anyone heard of how the set up will be?

For those who received an interview, may I ask when you applied? I applied for this program last week, along with their bridge program for critical care, but haven't received any follow up emails. Do you think today will be the only day for sending out emails about an interview? Thank you so much and best of luck to those with an interview!

I applied on Nov 8th and I received an email about interview information last Thursday, the 18th. They give you the available interview dates and ask you to pick from them. They also ask your top 3 areas that you would like to work in from the areas that were listed on the application description. They sent me a confirmation email today, the 22nd, just confirming my interview date and time.

i applied on the 15th of november and recieved an e-mail on the 18th asking me to pick an interview date, and today i recieved one confirming my date and time.

thanks ferretrodeo i will go to their website, i am super excited for this, i had applied to vanderbilt's pediatric residency program in nashville back in august and i was put in a waiting list and never got a chance to interview :(.

by the way my interview is at 11, so i might not see you, for what areas are you guys applying?

Hey Everyone! I received an e-mail for the interview selection later afternoon yesterday. I was kind of depressed that I wasn't selected before because I applied on 16th...Now I am just happy that I am selected for the interview So...there are still hopes out there...

med/surg, cardiac, ed in that order.

i plan on being there early. i don't think i will be there at 11 but i will be there by 1pm.

There are other threads about the interview process here. I would read through them also. They do go back a few years but I would think that they are using the same process.

So I changed my interview date for the 8th of this month, I will be traveling in December 16.

My Choices were Nicu, Post Partum and Medsurg.

I really want Nicu but at this point I'll take anything since I finished school back in May. So I will let you guys know how it goes :):up:
