I interviewed with 2C (Behavioral/ Med surg). that was definitely not any of my top three choices. But, seemed like I did not have much of a choice. I thought the interview went well. I was well prepared for some of the questions asked thanks to you guys.

I received email today that I was not selected b/c the manager preferred a more qualified applicant. Off course that's not a good thing to hear, but then again I am glad b/c I was not too fond of the unit. So now b/c I work there already, the recruiter said that I can go online and apply directly to the units of my choice. Hopefully, one of the nurse managers will contact me directly and take it from there. Congrats to u guys. :)

Does anyone know what the commitment is for the residency program? And does that commitment start after orientation or from when you start?

Somebody asked about DC Fingerprints--yes, it is required for them to process or even look at your DC RN license application--it is not listed on the checklist though but there is a separate section on the website regarding fingerprints and how to go about getting them done. You can get them done onsite in DC or have them done locally and mail them in (what I'm doing) if you are not in the area. It takes along time to have it done long-distance so I'd get on it asap if you're from out-of-the-district area. !

If you get fingerprints onsite in DC is it processed quicker? and if so about how long? I would rather just drive there to get them done if it will take less time. Because you have to wait for your license to come back to schedule a date for your nclex correct?

I think if you do it onsite you're good to go that day.

I was just wondering if anything who had been scheduled for an interview coming up in soon had received an emailing saying their interview was cancelled because they have filled all their positions already.

I got an interview on 4nw..hopefully this one is "it". I believe i was rejected from the first for a reason. Now another door has opened :)

I have an interview this month and so far it has not been canceled. I was wondering it this happen to you. I'm leaving Monday to drive there from Florida and it would be so awful if I get there and there's no interview!

Thanks a bunch.. I am supperr happy. Especially, since it's a unit of my choice. Nclex anxiety is creeping up now.. Prayn to pass it and go on vacation before the 18th :)
