Wanted: Cpne 'study Buddy' -oakland,ca. Area

Hi, I'm an LVN who is the LVN to RN program with Excelsior..

I've completed all of the 8 Excelsior exams, took the CPNE 1 1/2 years ago in Long Beach and didn't make it...it was a horrible,horrible experience... [they since closed it down as there were so many complaints, the Examiners were a nightmare,etc.]. Anyway, I'm ready to 'try it again', and would like to know if there is anyone out there who lives in the Oakland,/Berkeley/Walnut Creek/ Bay Area, who is also struggling in trying to take the CPNE???...

I would definitely like a 'study buddie', and also someone to go to Tina's 4 day workshop with in San Jose, and then fly together back to Racine, Wisconsin with to share Hotel expenses and also give each other morale support/stay strong attitude... It's a difficult exam, and I just feel that having a 'buddy'- especially going across country [i won't take my husband..he went last time with me and it was waaay too distracting, as he's a 'worrier'... Is there ANYONE OUT THERE...[or if you know some someone [a relative/friend??],who lives in my area, that is also facing the CPNE.... Would appreciate it greatly.... judy

When did you actually start the Excelsior program? If not before December, 2003, hate to tell you but CA does not accept that training for licensure as an RN in the state. This is going to be the main reason that you will find it hard to find a study buddy in the state, let alone your area.
