I feel a little nervous about this, but I'm sure everything will be ok.

Your loved one has to have surgery at your hospital. Let's say it's something fairly common--a cholecystectomy, a hip replacement, an appy.

How would you respond?

Nothing personal, because I think the facility I work at is the best, but I'm camping out at his bedside.

Not really understanding here. Are you meaning the surgical dept itself, or the hospital as a whole?

I mean the whole hospital stay, from admission to discharge, with a surgery in between.

The hospital where my husband (*cough cough COUGH*, that WORD:eek: ) works, from start to finish, yes. Where i work, pre-op, yes, peri-op, yes, PACU yes, but the floors, no. There are some great nurses mixed with some less than desireable ones.

Yes, but I would remain at the bedside whenever possible. Cause I know how busy it gets and I want to be sure my loved one is comfortable and safe. But yes, I would be ok with them getting care where I work. I know and respect most of the staff.
