i wanna be a nurse but...my math sucks

I want to become a nurse but I'm not really good at math and my written has become really bad. I graduated from high school about 3 years ago. i was suppsed to join the marines..but my parents wanted me to Reserves but i want to join active duty,So out of respected for them i took 1 year off to think about it spend time with family. Then the 2rd year my step dad died in our house right next to my mom and a few other family members....so it was a very rough time for my me and my family. Look i dont wanna give you my life story here my point is the last 3 years has been **** for me, i spent the last 3 years doing nothing but playing video games. I guest it was my way of caping with everything i ended up meeting someone and Experience so many new feels and things i never thought were even posible. so too make a long story short i find that the more new things i experience in life the more i questioned joining the marines...so now i wanna be a nurse. Why??? Because i truly enjoy hoping others thats what makes me happy more then anything in the world, so this spring i plan on enrolling into community college. Im not 100% sure what Type of nurse i wanna be but i im thinking i wanna work in a icu , but im just not sure i have what it takes anymore. I'm not that great in math my written sucks now in fact this is the longst thing i written in a while and I'm afarid i just dont have what it takes to make it into the nursing field. I always done pretty well in anything having to do with science or History... But i guest when you spend 3 year being sad n sitting on the your ass this is what happens. And like i said i wont bore you with all the details but.lifes been a ***** to my family but i learned you cant let every lil thing in life stop you o yea also i have a learning Disability

If you have to, I would suggest starting with a refresher math course. Kudos to you on your motivation to do something great, even when life has been hard to you. I wish you all the best!

I have said myself that i was worried because my writren is very horrible, i all ready said it myself so dont need too hear what i all ready know. Their is just a certain way you say things and dont say them but i do plan on taken a class in college My written was never this bad. But thank you for all the advice ill try remembering what you said i do often read ever thing here agin when i get lazy...so thanks for the tough love.

you should contact a local hospital and do some shadowing, shadow a Nurse, CNA, PTA PT just to get a feel you know?
