I'm in Walden's FNP program but the Pharm and Patho courses are the same AFAIK. I would not take them together. I'm taking Pharm seperately this quarter because I don't feel I retained much information from Patho. TOO Much material in 11 weeks. I took Patho and Leadership together. It was rough but I survived. Every other week you will have a paper due for both classes. If you are highly organized and stay ahead of your assignments, you'll be ok.
Hello there! I agree 100% with your assessment of taking Patho and Leadership together. This quarter with Patho is extremely packed with important content and there is simply not enough time to absorb this critical content. If I had one complaint about Walden it would be this issue. I would have loved to take Advanced Patho in part 1 and part 2 in two separate courses. I will have to go back and reteach myself some content after the grueling pace of this program ends. Simply not enough time to do it all this quickly.

Depends. Large research facilities probably won't take Walden grads. Also, it's unlikely Walden grads can find work in my area, which is a competitive job market for PMHNPs and we have a number of strong PMHNP programs in town.
But if all you want is a job and your area has a shortage, you should be fine for now. Nobody knows what the PMHNP job market will be like in the next 5-10 years, but I would not be surprised if it becomes more competitive.
I currently live in Nevada, originally from Kentucky. I have several friends in KY who went to Walden for the PMHNP and got jobs immediately. I looked into Walden and was told I cannot get my PMHNP there and work in NV. I am not sure about every state, but you might want to check if a Walden degree is accepted by your state board of nursing.
Many facilities, including my own, will not hire grads from Walden, u of Phoenix, etc. There are good candidates that come from these places, but many more bad than the average program. NP school most of the time ends up what you make of it, so why would you want a negative name to potentially block you from jobs?
I'm a single mother of 3, work full time, and online school is all I can do. Not sure what state your in. I'm grad from UOP and got a job at the biggest trauma center in northern CA. So what ever my future holds, I know I work well under pressure, am up for a challenge and have excellent time management skills. ?

I am attending Walden University for the PMHNP program. Next semester I will be taking pathophysiology and pharmacology. I would like someone's opinion if I should take these together or separate? How difficult would they be to take?
