Anyone submitting an application to the nursing program at WTCC this upcoming July for spring 2017? Wanted to connect with others who may be in my shoes. I'm still working on some prerequisites (TEAS and CNA) but hope to finish them up by May. I will be transferring most of my prerequisites in from another school.

Hey guys, Has anyone started doing the drug calc sheet?? I cant find it and does anyone remember if he HAD to get the book??

I found the Calculating Drug Dosages book on Amazon with the CD. It is used with some writing but I am okay with that. Just google it on Amazon and different sellers of the book will pop up. I have not yet started working on the problems yet though.....

Hi everyone, was the Flu vaccine supposed to be done by October 1st? I am panicking right now because I had mine done on October 7th and went to upload my info on Verified and it says it was needed by October 1st. I left a message with Barbara Smith but wondered if anyone here knows the answer.

From what i remember Oct 1st is only for students who are already in the program and doing clinicals. for us that is something we have to have completed before the november deadline (that's why its required along with other vaccinations). I havent done the verified credentials yet but please let us know what BS says cause if Oct 1st was the deadline I'm screwed too.

Hey ladies! I haven't been getting emails from here..not sure why though. Anyway, has anyone heard any NEW news yet? Alternate status?? If not, can someone PLEASE email BW?

I started working the drug cal sheet. However, I've been mostly doing the practice problems on the interactive site they provided. It's VERY helpful! As far as the book, I don't think it's required but just email the coordinator and ask to be sure.

As far as the flu shot, I believe they said it had to be done during "flu season". There's no way that we could've had that done by October 1st bc we didn't get that deadline until orientation day (October 6th). I had mine done October 11th. During orientation, they said as long as it's done during current flu season, we should be fine. Let us know when she emails you back! Hope this helps!

Hi everyone!!! I emailed SW this morning. I had a few questions and asked about points. If you get penalized for taking longer to complete pre-reqs. She also explained to me that this application period had a huge pool and that they are currently accepting alternates with 154 points. That gave me a little hope for when I apply in January.
