Anyone submitting an application to the nursing program at WTCC this upcoming July for spring 2017? Wanted to connect with others who may be in my shoes. I'm still working on some prerequisites (TEAS and CNA) but hope to finish them up by May. I will be transferring most of my prerequisites in from another school.
Welcome pdlf! My guess would be that you would have to have insurance from the moment you step into the clinical scenario.......(not sure though). What was the ECU program like? Did you take prerequisites there? I think I have 163 points if I calculated correctly. Laila34 how many points do you have? Praying we all get in!!!!
Hey everyone, right now I have lost hope. I don't see me getting in because of 60 alternates in a 18 point range. If you all (other alts) don't get in what are you going to do? Since we cant retake a class in time to apply for the fall of 2017?
Hey! Don't lose hope and sight of what you want to do! You've made it this far, so ride it out hun! I haven't really thought about what I would do if I don't get in....lol!! In my mind, I've been accepted and have partially made daycare arrangements for my 1yr old..LOL!! However; if I don't get in, I'm probably going to find a full time job as a CNA and apply to other nursing schools. Might even apply back at wake tech fall cohort. The only thing I could do to increase my points is retake teas. That maybe our ONLY way to get more points since we can't retake courses. But guess what??!!! I AINT WORRIED ABOUT THAT! Hahaha!! I've heard in previous semesters, all alternates eventually got accepted. So, don't lose hope and trust that all things are working for your good.

Hey all,
First time commenting but long time stalker of this thead haha I am also an alternate
(( I got denied from the ECU program last semester so i moved back home. I was at about 159.5 but the .5 doesn't count -_- I hope i'm at least top 10-15 in the alternate list so I make it cause I CANNOT wait until right before classes start for a decision. For those who have attended the orientation session before, i have no insurance right now....do yall have any advice as to what I should do? does the coverage have to be just for when the semester starts or from when you apply? Thanks and congrats to all who made it!!!
