Wake Tech Fall 2017 start

Published

Hi all! Just wondering who will be applying to the Wake Tech RN program in January, for the Fall 2017 start? I'm finishing up BIO168, BIO175, PSY241 and SOC210 this semester. If I can maintain all As, and get 12 points on my ATI TEAS, I'll have 161 points. Based on the last two classes' initial acceptance ranges, I feel like I'll be an alternate. :dead:

Email me and I can send u the picture for the points calculation it won't let me post it here [email protected]

I'm not exactly sure, I don't know how you may have calculated them.

Im not sure if im correct but to what an advisor told me we received double points for Psych 150,241 and Soc 210. At least thats what i understood because starting 1/31/18 that was going to stop.

Hi guys!

Im on edge myself, glad I found this page. Ill definitely post once I hear something. Im totally lost at calculating my points...

How to Calculate Your Points

Take the points for the grade you earned for each class from the chart below and place that number in the Points” column on the ranking form below.

Please note that effective for the January 31, 2018 Nursing application (Fall 18 NUR entry), (1) BIO 155 will no longer be substituted for SOC 210 AND (2) the points for SOC 210, PSY 150, and PSY 241 will no longer be doubled.

Negative points: Five (5) points will be subtracted from the total points for grades of D” and ten (10) points for grades of F” or WF” received in any of the non-clinical courses taken within five years of the start of the NUR classes. For technical core courses, the point reductions will be doubled (10 points for a D and 20 points for an F or WF). If the course has been repeated with a passing grade, the points will be calculated using both grades, the passing grade as well as the previous D” or F, WF.” PLEASE NOTE that this rule applies regardless of the school that the D” and/or F, WF” was earned.

Add the additional points for TEAS V composite scores: 6 points for 71-80, 12 points for 81-90 or 20 points 91-100. No points – 0” points will be added if the TEAS V composite score is less than 71.

Thank you soooo much. I can now calculate it. I'll post as well

Hey y'all! Good luck with getting accepted! I was just accepted into the LPN-RN program, so I start this summer 2017 & graduate May 2018. Just to try to help ease your mind, try logging onto webadvisor. From there, go to Academics & Registration, then my profile. At the bottom of that, it will tell you what program you are in. Once I was accepted on their end, it changed from pre-nursing to Associates Degree Nursing with my graduation date. I saw this out before I received my letter and not knowing if I was accepted. I hope this helps some.

Have you actually received a letter as well?

Have you actually received a letter as well?

Congrats, RaleighNurse!

So I emailed mrs Watkins to just see if letters were going to go out by end of march and she emailed this back.

The letters will not be mailed this week and I expect that the Nursing Department will be able to mail the letters by mid-April. All accepts and alternates will be invited to the Fall 2017 Nursing Orientation which will be held on Monday, May 8.
