Hi all! Just wondering who will be applying to the Wake Tech RN program in January, for the Fall 2017 start? I'm finishing up BIO168, BIO175, PSY241 and SOC210 this semester. If I can maintain all As, and get 12 points on my ATI TEAS, I'll have 161 points. Based on the last two classes' initial acceptance ranges, I feel like I'll be an alternate.
I haven't heard anything except what rich3 posted above. "Mar 7 by rich3I spoke to an advisor yesterday and she said the letters will go out in April. The orientation is May 8th this year - later than the previous years. I ask about the point range but she said she was not sure. So we wait................."
The advisor did not mention a total number of applicants, just that it takes them a while to review all to make sure they are complete with necessary transcripts (those who are transferring into Wake Tech). She explained that once they complete the process they create a spreadsheet with total points and send over to the nursing department. The letters come directly from the nursing department. I spoke with her on Monday and at that time they had not sent a list of names and points to the nursing department. She did not give me an exact time frame in April - just sometime in April.
So, I just went into Webadvisor, and saw that my registration window for Fall 2017 opens on April 10. I hope we hear something by then, so we can start planning our Plan B for next semester, if we don't get into the nursing program for this round. I don't want to make plans yet, but want to be prepared, just in case. After this semester, I will have all of my required pre-reqs and don't know what I'll do if I have a whole semester to wait. I guess I would just work some overtime, and hopefully that would cover my student loan payments, since they'll start coming due if I'm not taking classes.
