Waiting time for NCLEX CA

Published

I took the exam last friday (october 10, 2008) in makati, philippines. when and where can i know the result? should i wait for the mail?...

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

Unless you have a SSN then you will have no choice with Ca but wait for snail mail which takes on average 4 weeks

YES, thats what it is 4-6 weeks. It is so slow. But then again anything in California that the state is in charge of is slow.....agonizing:banghead:

It is not slow if one has a SSN# in most cases. It is also a state where one can go to Sacramento and get a temporary license issued that day.

When one does not possess a SSN#, then they do not get a license issued either, but only a letter stating that they have passed that is only valid for three years.

I took the exam last Sept 19, 2008 and up to now still no results. Almost a month of waiting makes me feel more anxious than ever. Not only I am thinking if I pass or fail but will I receive it in due time or not. Based on what I've read in this forum there are others who didn't received it for 8 weeks, for others, for almost a year.

People come and go. Some who had taken the exam had passed and some had failed already and here I am still nervously and anxiously waiting.

If not because of this forum, I dont know what to do. This forum really help me a lot.

Average wait time is about a month if you are out of the US and for the Philippines it is just a month to Manila; for other areas, you need to add on time.
