Waiting on Ivy Tech acceptance letters thread

Published

I thought it might be nice to have a place for us to vent our frustrations with waiting until May 30th or so when letters start going out. I know I'm going nuts already!

How about introductions and a little info about each person?

I'm applying to both Bloomington and Indy-Lawrence for the Fall 2009 ASN programs. I turned in my apps this week with 4 As on the pre-reqs and a 90.0 on the TEAS. My eventual goal is at least getting a BSN, and if I feel like doing homework long enough, an MSN of some sort. I work full time now, but will hopefully only work part time if I get accepted. I'm so antsy to start preparing and finally feel like all of this is real!

Well..I know someone who got a denial letter today from Madison....eeek! all nerves!

Still thinking about everyone that is still waiting!!!...hope you're hanging in there :icon_hug:

Congratulations to all the new letter recipients!!!!!

:dncgbby:

You ever think how much this is helping the self esteem of our mailmen?:selfbonk:

what was total points for the rejection to madison?

140 I think......

Lennon,

I know Bloomington's should come out soon, b/c I talked to the coordinator yesterday. (I didn't get in there....apparently the info I was given in the TH info session was incorrect..UGH. I hope TH lives up to the incorrect info. But the chick there was able to look up my info and respond to my email within 20 min) Good luck!

I feel good about my Bloomington points (213) but I'm just freaking out that for some reason they didn't look back i ntheir records to see that I attended the nursing info session back in 2007. I can find anything and everything to worry about :)

I'm sorry you didn't get in, that really sucks :( You've still applied to TH though it sounds like?

Yeah, I did. BUT...I'm not worried about it. When I attended the TH info session they said that I could apply without my ANP 2 scores (I'm just now taking it) that the prereqs just have to be finished before I actually START the program. I stopped the coordinator, raised my hand, clarified what she said...and then I talk to the Bton coordinator yesterday who said that THAT isn't right. LOL Oh well, I wasn't planning on applying til Spring anyway, but I threw my apps in for Fall "just in case". lol IF TH does allow it like they said they did, I will take it RN/LPN whatever. lol If not......I'm hammering along.

Ah, I gotcha. It sucks that you got the wrong information, but I guess if you weren't actually planning on applying yet, I guess it'll just make you more prepared for when you actually apply. It'd be awesome if you got in though!

Hey Lennon, if it makes you feel any better - I couldn't remember the date of my Indy info session and I just GUESSED...they didn't question it at all. I definitely went to one, I just probably didn't have the correct date so I'm doubting they look into it that strictly.

Oh no, was that a question on the app that I don't remember?! lol!
