Waiting on Ivy Tech acceptance letters thread

Published

I thought it might be nice to have a place for us to vent our frustrations with waiting until May 30th or so when letters start going out. I know I'm going nuts already!

How about introductions and a little info about each person?

I'm applying to both Bloomington and Indy-Lawrence for the Fall 2009 ASN programs. I turned in my apps this week with 4 As on the pre-reqs and a 90.0 on the TEAS. My eventual goal is at least getting a BSN, and if I feel like doing homework long enough, an MSN of some sort. I work full time now, but will hopefully only work part time if I get accepted. I'm so antsy to start preparing and finally feel like all of this is real!

I'm feeling all alone here. . . all of you here are applying for fall and I'm not applying till spring! :o

Man, if all of ATI is down, that's horrible :( If I hadn't gotten a 90 on my TEAS last month, I would have been retaking it yesterday. Thank goodness I didn't have to!

I found a neat podcast linked somewhere else on Allnurses that I checked out this morning, and really enjoyed. It was by the co-author of a Nursing Fundamentals book and it was giving an overview of each chapter. Now I'm sure it's an older edition and we probably wouldn't even be using this same text, but I downloaded all of them episodes just to sort of see what Nursing Fundamentals might entail. I hope this link works!

does anyone know if we have to turn in another copy of our transcripts after we get our grades for the current semester? or do they look them up? im taking two of the prereqs now. thanks!

Great thread everyone! Nice to have a place to "chat" while we wait... and wait... and wait. This little lesson in patience will be a good thing, right? (ahem!) I applied at Indy (only), with an 86.5% TEAS (1 attempt), and a 4.0 (ANP102 pending, but looks promising) The admin asst felt my chances were favorable, so fingers crossed! I'll be taking ANP201 this summer, anyone else?

At our info session we were told that we are to bring a new official transcript with completed spring grades to the nursing office by May 16. This is for Lawrence, don't know about other campuses.

Yes, Dear! You crack me up! :typing

I do what I can! :)

I've got the lowball numbers of the bunch, with 169 (3 A's/76 1st try teas). I applied to Bloomington and Terre Haute without without my ANP 2 scores, which I will be taking this summer. I figured it was worth a shot, even though I probably won't get in at all. LOL Here's hopin'.
