Waiting for the freakin' ATT

Ok- so I've sent my fee and registration out to Pearson Vue..I have my GN license from my board of nursing. I get this letter from the NCLEX people last week and get all happy because I think it's my ATT. NOPE! It's a letter stating that they've received my stuff and that I have to wait to be cleared to test by my board of nursing. Right at the top it says "THIS IS NOT YOUR ATT". Anyone else gotten this "tease letter"? How long did it take for the ATT to arrive? Let me tell you when I opened it and found it wasn't the ATT- I used some very naughty words!:angryfire I just want to get it over with!

I also am STILL waiting. I do not know how long it takes to get the ATT, but I have had one delay after another and am getting very impatient. I would like to take the NCLEX before too much stuff "falls" out of my head! Nurses don't really walk around with all that we learned fresh and memorized. Where I live we also do not have GN licensure or temps etc, so I can't work as anything remotely nurse-like until I pass. I noticed you were a scrub tech, that is my occupation of 9yrs. SG

I recieve my ATT about 7 working days after my school sent the letter of completion and my transcript to the BON.

Now I am scared after reading all the stuff on the NCLEX board. I need to stop reading it untill I test.

Good luck with your test.

I ended up calling pearsonvue twice and then the BON to get authorized. however, i had never recieved confirmation that they had received my $200, if you have chances are they have your information correct. really, i knew i would probably have to call pearsonvue again after the first time i called b/c the guy who i spoke with first had such a heavy accent, i couldn't really understand what he was saying. that doesn't give me much confidence that he understands what i'm saying, if you know what i mean...turns out when i called the second time, they did have my information wrong. then they say in the end, okay, now we are just waiting for the BON to authorize you. well, friends had already been authorized (they went through the run-around also), so i called the BON right then because that's what they did. she put me on hold for a few minutes and came back and said 'you'll be authorized by the end of the day' and it was in my email a few hours later. sheesh, i'm glad i called!

I called Pearson Vue today and they said the ATT went out yesterday so I should get it soon. The person who said that the phone reps have very thick accents wasn't kidding! The lady that helped me was nice but I had a really hard time understanding her. Guess Pearson Vue outsources their labor like so many companies these days....

I sent in my pearson vue money back in April and my BON application the day after graduation. I got my ATT 2 weeks to the day that they received my BON application.

You are calling India for information about ATT..That is where the accents come from..Most customer service call centers are now in India...

That's a little presumptious to say. While yes many American companies have outsourced customer service to India at a much cheaper rate, when I called Pearson Vue, I did not get someone with an accent. I got someone who sounded American and I didn't presume otherwise.

An update-got the ATT today and scheduled my boards. Boy, spots are filling up fast! I'm taking them on Wednesday, August 2 at 2pm. Would have liked an earlier time of day but at this point, I just want to put it behind me.

You probably got someone who spoke clearly...Call again and ask them where are they from and they would say India..Also,Hewllet Packard customer support is directed to India..You will get the same accent..The accent varies a lot..Sometimes they could speak clear and sometimes you have to listen closely or sometimes you cannot understand them!

I know I hate it when I call Dell's tech support. They've been outsourced to India for years and half the time they don't know what they're talking about or I can't understand them or they can't understand me.

I wouldn't know about the PearsonVue support.
