Wagner College ABSN FALL 2020

Published

Hey, I didn't see a thread already posted so I decided to create one. Did anyone else hear back and schedule an interview? I have one scheduled for the first week of March and was curious if anyone knew anything about the process.

Hi there! I was just emailed yesterday to set up my interview. I will be scheduling it today for the first week of march:). I’m curious as well as too how long I have after interviewing to take the TEAS as I want a few more weeks to study for it.

Hi! I applied and got an email about an interview a week and a half ago. I am scheduled for next week! I believe once you interview and if you have everything needed for the applications (prereqs, TEAS, etc.) you should hear back around 4-5 weeks.

hi! When did you guys apply? I applied by the deadline but haven't heard anything :(

@NurseKat6

I submitted my application Feb 13th. I read (from the allnurses wagner absn 2019 thread) that they have more than one round of interviews so hopefully you will be hearing from them soon! :))

@sgel

Thank you! ?

Hello Everyone,

I also applied in the last 1-2 days before deadline and have a transcript coming in late because I just finished a pre-req class a few days ago. I did not receive an email for the interview. Anyone else waiting on something in the checklist? or is it just me?

P.S. thank you for starting this thread and good luck to everyone :)

If you haven't submitted everything they probably will not review your application yet. That's not a bad thing though because they'll send out more interview requests probably in early March. My interview is next Friday but I still haven't taken the TEAS because I really don't want to pay for the exam unless I know I'm in ?

The only thing I have not completed/submitted is the TEAS. However, all my prereqs are done with my transcripts submitted. I'm waiting a bit longer to take the TEAS as well so I can study as much as possible...math is my kryptonite ? When I scheduled my interview I asked the woman I was speaking with if they conditionally accept students into the program before having all the reqs submitted and she said yes. However, I was specifically speaking to her about the TEAS.

I get the impression that the TEAS is not a significant factor in a person's acceptance (don't quote me on this LOL). They just need to have a passing score. She kept saying "you just need to pass, it doesn't matter how high of a score". So if your waiting for grades/transcripts to come in from your prereq's you probably are going to be in the next round of interviews. She also said June 1st is the cutoff for all things to be submitted. If they don't have it by then you are not going to be accepted in.

She said this will all be reiterated in the interview so I will ask the same questions (and more) tpo confirm all of this and then let everyone know?

Good luck everyone!

There is no need to worry about the TEAS, quoting straight from the website:

"Satisfactory results on the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS VI)

To be taken after initial clearance by the Admissions Office"

Missing the TEAS is okay, they do not request it before hand, if you did take it that's fine and you just have it marked off as done.

Hii. I have an interview next week as well. I am very nervous, and shocked they even called me. I am psyching myself up thinking that it is a done deal for anyone who got an interview , but also don't want to get my hopes up since I have had my fair share of rejections in the past. They are obviously interested, but wondering how much weight this interview has, and if they take a holistic approach to their applicants. I have heard really great things about this program, so I am very eager, and excited to start!! I would be commuting from Brooklyn. I hope we all get in. :)

Thank you to whoever started this thread. It's going to be like therapy for me to unload my anxiety LOL

Yeah I read that as well. My fear was moreso that though they state they only require "satisfactory results" that really this is just the minimum. So I called to double check everything. I'v had admissions counselors tell me conflicting info in the past so I am a bit scarred and triple check everything LOL.

@sha17 Commuting from BK too!! Good luck!
