Nurses LPN/LVN

Published

Hello to all nurses ! I am new to this site and this is my first post. I just took my Licensing Exam Feb 16 ( two days ago) and computer shuts off at 85. :uhoh3: i graduated more than a year ago and i just dont feel like i remember much. so right now , i am having this post traumatic feeling , waiting whether i passed or failed the exam. :o I have like at least 3 weeks to wait for the result ..but its all "COOL" I am just really PROUD being a vocational nurse and a part of this great nursing career!!! ( not to mention that i am a guy in my 20's.. and single... hahahha )

hi guys, i also live in california. just took my NCLEX-LVN on 2/16 and am nervously awaiting my results. Felt like i failed too along with two of my friends even though I was an A student in school. California makes you wait up to 4 weeks (cruel). I am about to lose my mind. Afraid to open get the mail and not get the mail!!! Mine cut off at 85? This is nervewracking!!!:nurse: :nurse: :nurse: (hopefully - please Lord)

hello oldernursingstudent! i took the NCLEX one day ahead of you .. it stopped at 85 too. the thing is.. i wasnt an A student in school. I had 3 probations and was about to get kicked out from the program. I think its because i have a really poor study habit.. i hate reading and studying...i was even surprised why i made it to the the nursing program. but i am sure you did good !!!!

hi gr8nurse, well that doesn't matter, most of my friends struggled through nursing school for the same reason. don't be so hard on yourself, you made it through school and you should be prasied and proud of yourself for that and i believe if God has brought us this far he will bring us through to the finish line. We just need to leave it in his hands. I will be keeping you in my prayers each day as we wait for our letters. I wish we didn't have to wait so long and could get those quick results like other states. my daughter who is 21 is in the RN program and she is struggling too. this is a very difficult and stressful program and we need to pat ourselves on the back that we made it. I am rooting for you!!!! where in california do you live? i live in palmdale, ca. take care and keep in touch. :) :)

thanks a lot oldernursingstudent!!! well.. i am really proud that i made it to the nursing school.. but.. there's much differences about being proud and having no confidence in oneself. . :uhoh3::o but THANK you for the encouragements .. i DO really need it! by the way, i live in Riverside/San Bernardino area. great to know that your daughter is in the nursing program too.. that shows you have a caring family.

dear gr8nurse, i understand how you feel about the confidence issue. i too struggle with that. i'm 48, oldest in my class and don't have very good self esteem. i have to constantly push myself that i can do it. i am scared to death and also excited about working as a nurse. feel very inadequate most of the time. even though i got A's in class i felt clumsy in clinicals. so i guess we have to work on our confidence. i know we can do this. i am praying for us both to pass and move on to become great nurses. :)

dear Oldernursingstudent! Can you be my MOM??? heheh.. i am soo touched.. really!!! thanks for the prayers!!! i will be praying for you too. I told my friends that , if i pass,, then God really wants me to work as a nurse now.. but if i didnt,, that means.. i still have to do more studying... its either way.. God knows about my tomorrow.. even when before i was born. I think the oldest in my class was around mid 50's and I really admired her.. she was just the BOMB!!! hahaha .. well, hope we both pass.

okay, i guess i have three daughters now. i see alot of myself in you. you now have another "biggest fan" and i am rooting for you and in your corner. i believe God has brought us to where we are for a reason and i believe he wants to use us to comfort others. so we will just hang on and trust in him. he got me through each day of nursing school when i thought i could not take another step so i believe he will get us through this wait too. just hang on and i will too. i'm also praying he gives us more confidence in ourselves and to believe in ourselves as he has believed in us. i will share this scripture with you as it gets me through the tough times "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me". take care sweetie.

hey son, we've both gotta think positive. believe me i am feeling the same way you did. here is a bit of encouragement though. a girl in my class who barely got through nursing school, didn't study took NCLEX early Feb. and I just got a call yesterday that she passed. she got like 185 questions. i am praying for both of us to pass. some of the nurses at the hospital told me most people pass but they all felt like there were going to fail. so we've just gotta keep positive. oh, that girl in my class i told you about, she had to wait exactly 3 weeks to get her letter. so i figure i have almost two more weeks to wait. i forgot what date did you take yours on. we can estimate when we should be hearing. going to run and go see a movie with my family now "Fireball". take my mind off the NCLEX for a while. take care and you are in my prayers every day!!!!!
