Visiting NYC, any hotel suggestions?

Published

Hey everybody-

I'm planning to come visit the city in March to look at some hospitals...anyone have any suggestions on affordable hotels with easy subway access? Thanks!!:nurse:

Hotel Deauville. It is in Manhatten. Affordable, I think about 90 bucks a night, and the staff are very helpful with directions etc. I have stayed there about 4-6 times, the company I used to work for used it exclusively. If 90 is too expensive, ask them about the room they have that is without a bathroom- you can use the bathroom/shower on the 3rd floor- with a locked access (I had to use it once and it was fine, no one else was using it.) It is cheaper...but I'd think for pre interview nerves, I'd go for the room with a bathroom.

YOu can find it on the internet.

Stayed at the Milford Hotel a few times. Rooms are a OK, not too pricey for NYC and lots of airline personnel (flight attendants and pilots) stay there. It's around the block from the 42nd St. subway and cabs are available at all hours. Another plus is that its right in the heart of the theatre district. By the way, stay away from the Habitat Hotel---scary scary place that's a habitat for all the creepy crawly creatures. Enjoy your trip and hope you find a good job.

check out the hostels and see if you can find something reasonable..

Thanks for everyone's help!
