VisaScreen vs. CES for Vermont International Nurse NCLEX pass endorsement application

Can anyone help me? i intend to get licensed in Vermont since the California BRN has already issued a statement that they will no longer extend validities of pass letters effective, if i'm not mistaken, april 10 or 30, 2010...

i'm wondering, since i already have a VisaScreen certificate, do i need to apply for a CES again?... the process seem redundant since the CES will be requiring me to submit credentials which are exactly the same as the ones required for my VisaScreen...

i just want to know if anyone has been in the same situation and what they did... and how long did it take to get licensed in Vermont?... :confused:although i totally get the California BRN's move, i still would not want to have my NCLEX go to waste... :crying2:

pleeease help anyone?

thank you!

thanks chinita.

are you done with your CES? did you also receive it in 4-6 weeks?

I only printed my copy, it will be available for a year. This is a part of the email from CGFNS informing me that they have issued my CES.

Please click on the Order Status link under Applicant Options, select your order and click the "View CES Applicant Report" button where you will be able to view and print your report. This report will be available for one year.

When the status of your order is REPORT ISSUED any State Board who you have selected as a recipient will be notified that your report is available.

:)

@chinita, i understand but i was asking how long was it before you receive this email confirming that your CES report has been issued? and may I ask when was this? 2009? 2010? I'm currently waiting for my CES to be issued and it's been exactly four weeks yesterday. Everytime I tried to reach CGFNS either by phone or by email, i just get an SOP response of " ces processing time is 8-10 weeks". The requirements I sent for visascreen [which have already been evaluated] were used for my ces. I hope this hastens the process.

I already answered this question. 4-6 weeks. It was issued July 26, 2010. CGFNS is right, processing time for CES is 8-10 weeks so be patient.

thanks chinita. :) i hope i also get mine ine 4-6 weeks.

Hi! I passed the nclex through CA and I would like to ask if I can endorse to vermont through International Nurse NCLEX Pass Endorsement even if I do not have a current RN license of my home country? Thanks in advance!

when you purchase the CES online you will see which documents they were still able to use. :) In my case, CGFNS said my verification for license from my home country expires dec 2010. I filed my CES July 31, it's still under process. :(

wonderful news! i just received an email from cgfns and my ces report is now issued! :) i filed it 31st of july btw!

I just received my license from Vermont. One month processing from the time they received my application. It will expire March 2011. :crying2:
