Hi all,
For those who are internationally educated and working in the USA, was your visascreen certificate checked when entering the country? Will I have to have it in possession with me when crossing the border?

I don't know the answer to your specific question. I just know that these days, anyone crossing the border should carry all available documentation.

Visa Screen certificate is just one of the requirements in order to get an employment based visa. It doesn't prove that you have legal right to be in the US. What you will be asked for every time you cross the US border is to show proof that you are legally allowed to be in the US and these come in the form of an active visa (the one attached to your passport), or a resident alien card (aka Green Card). That said, you should always have all your required documents together in one safe place but I wouldn't be carrying all of them around for crossing the border.

Some members have said they have been asked for it and others said they weren't asked. Usually better to have

To be honest, I was never, not even once, asked for my VSC during the time that I was employed on a working visa.

Having your passport and visa is sufficient. Since you can't get a work visa without a visa screen, the actual visa is enough. Best to keep your visa screen at home in case you lose your visa.
