Visa Worries

Published

Our family was interviewed last August 2005 at the US Embassy in Manila. My wife and I got our visas two days after the interview. I am worried because we have not yet received the visas of our children and it's already been almost a month since our interview. During the interview, we were informed that our documents are complete and in order. The consul did not ask any additional documents from us so we assumed that everything was ok. Upon inquiry at the embassy, I was told that they are still processing the visas of my kids. I am wondering why our visas were not processed/released at the same time and why it's taking them so long to process/release the visa of my kids. Does anybody in this forum experienced or is experiencing the same thing? Can anybody comment on this? A reply will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I think the best thing to do is wait. Anyway, you have inquired and they told you that they are still procesing you childrens' visas.

The important thing is, as a principal applicant you have your visas now. It is just a waiting game for now in my opinion.

Thanks REP for the encouragement...

The United States Gov't supports the principle of "BRINGING FAMILIES CLOSE TOGETHER. They would not let you leave your children in your country.

I know how it feels with your situation. I've already been suffered that agony of waiting. I've waited one month before they finally released the visas of my dependents. If all your documents are complete, you have nothing to worry about. I'ts just a waiting game. JUst be patient...

To alleviate your worries and anxiety , you can have your inquiry at their call center for the progress of your visa status or log in to delbros.com to track your visa processing. Hope this would help.

I am also in the same situation. I was interviewed last July 17 and was able to complete the requirements last august 10 until now they haven't release my visa. I calle dup the US embassy they told me that my papers was forwarded to the consular officer last August 19 for final review. The agony of waiting is really killing me. I have been waiting for so long.
