Visa screen.

Published

Hi all,

I can't seem to find my visa screen certificate hard copy. Should I order a new one? Is it foolish to not have a hard copy with you?

Please advise. Just trying to save some money in this hard economy.

God bless.

Where are you? What visa do you have? Does it need renewed soon?

I wouldn't bother unless I needed it for a visa interview or something. Actually even then, I was never asked for it to this day!

Ty for ur reply. I'm in US, and I'm on F1. And they say ur visa scree certificate expires every 2-3 years? So, I was just making sure I owned one hard copy before it expired or some thing so that I won't have trouble in the future. Is it a wise move? Thank you.

What are you studying? Normally you can't get the Visascreen until you have passed NCLEX already. Do you have your RN completed already and just on F1 to maintain status due to Retrogression? The Visascreen lasts for 5 years. My attorney advised that I even have the Visascreen with me when traveling so would not think it wise not to have a copy.

"Do you have your RN completed already and just on F1 to maintain status due to Retrogression?" Yes to both of ur questions. And, I'm taking courses for the most part, that'll help me keep my nursing knowledge intact until I can start working sooon as a RN, very soon hopefully. Thank you so muchfor ur advise. I will keep a copy with me. God bless.

No you don't need the original. If you will be able to apply for adjustment of status, only a copy is required.
