Hi Everyone. I wanted to create a thread for the vcu CRNA 2023. Has anyone submitted their application yet ?

Congratulations to all who scored an interview! Crossing fingers for the rest of us. 

How soon are they allowing you guys to schedule interviews?

All they’ve sent me so far is a link for me to accept my interview invitation, and they said to watch out for another email in the coming weeks which will give more info as to the actual interview time

I called the lady I met last year at the higher ED center in Abingdon. She called and left a voice mail with VCU. I was told that she probably wouldn’t hear anything until Monday, however, she didn’t think that they sent out mass emails and that is would be over a short amount of time. She said that they have had a lot of changes too so they are busy.

Hey all, current VCU NA2 here wanted to chime in and let you know that I know it’s so tough to play the waiting game.  Additionally, we have our cadaveric regional anesthesia anatomy camp coming up this week starting on Sunday so several faculty members will be out of town with us until Thursday.  Not sure how this may or may not impact any further interview invites (I have no info on that), but just keep your heads down, work (or vacay if you’d like) and save that $$$! Mock interviews are a great idea, there are a few SRNAs out there in the world that do them to make a bit of extra cash.  If VCU is still doing one-way recorded interviews I can definitely tell you it’s awkward but not too bad, honestly.  I’m not sure if they had changed the format much since we’re in a bit of COVID lull (relatively speaking).   Good luck, try not to stress too much! Just day by day strengthen your candidacy at all programs.

Congrats to all who got interviews! Those who got interviews, do you mind sharing your stats? I am pretty much over it and now thinking about what I can do better to apply next year.

I emailed the director of admissions on the 18th (before I saw this forum that interviews were sent out that day) asking for interview updates and I still haven't received a response from her! Has anyone else gotten an interview invitation?
