Villanova BSN Express '11

Hello there! I applyed at Villanova as well - I have my interview next week and am sooo nervous. Anyone have advice? Good luck to everyone - Villanova is my #1 choice :)

Don't panic and be yourself. My interviewer was very friendly, very easy to speak with, and I would say that this was the easiest interview that I had. Just think of everything that you bring to the table as a future nurse and stay confident.

Specifically, I remember being asked why I was interested in nursing, what my previous employment experience had been and how it might help me as a nurse, and whether or not I was financially prepared for the program. Also my game plan for knocking out the remaining pre-reqs.

Goodluck! Don't be nervous. I agree with Trin that it was the easiest interview that I've had. The interviewer asked me a few questions--Tell me about yourself, questions about prereqs. Then she just talked to me about the program. It wasn't too long.

Hey everyone

Was wondering if any of the accepted students would be willing to share the stats on the board or private message (gpa, age)

I just applied- found out about the program late. I was recently accepted into Georgetown but am so scared of their tuition. Villanova seems really nice- and Dr Maryanne Lieb seemed so sweet over the phone. I hope to schedule my interview sometime soon

And yes, Dr. Lieb seems to be very supportive of candidates. If the rest of the faculty are anything like her, I think I'm really going to enjoy my time at Villa.

I agree with Trin. They made you feel as comfortable as possible. Be sure to mention any healthcare volunteer experience. They seem to enjoyhearing about your healthcare experience (if you have some).

Hope you guys are right. They should be gathering all of my application material by tommorow or monday so that i can schedule my interview. everything ive read makes me gravitate more towards villanova- having a great mens basketball doesnt hurt a basketball nut either

Hi everyone,

I just found out yesterday that I was accepted into the BSN Express program! I still have to take patho and two religion courses. Does anyone have any suggestions for an online patho other than Nova? I looked at my local community college (Bucks) and they do not offer it. Thanks!

Congratulations ber334! From my understanding Villanova offers online Pathophysiology class. Check with Professor M.Lieb or D.Ellis for more concrete information. As to the religion class, sorry can't help you. I took mine during the time I was getting my first degree.

i'm taking a religion right now at montco (with dr. jih who is awesome) and i'll be taking my other religion course at manor college.

i keep hearing things about a ccc online patho class but i dont know too much about it.

I think University of Iowa extensions are allowing people to sign up for pathophysiology.

Congratulations ber! How did you get the news- letter, email? They told me they weren't releasing decisions until December - I just had my interview last week and I am on pins and needles!!!
