Villanova BSN Express '11

Published

Is anyone else applying/been accepted to Villanova's BSN Express class starting in May 2011?

I was originally waitlisted for Drexel's program and found out a few weeks ago I was accepted for their spring start. I emailed the professor I interviewed with at Nova on Monday explaining that I had been accepted elsewhere and was wondering if I could get an earlier decision from them. I received my letter in the mail yesterday! I couldn't believe how fast it was, but I'm so excited because Nova was my first choice!!

Congrats on your acceptance!

Good Morning,

I am rather new to this forum. I do more perusing and reading than actually responding. But I just got my acceptance letter to Villanova BSN Express. I am so excited!!! I still have to complete microbiology and pathophysiology. Does anyone know of a online pathophysiology class? Has anyone been researching where to live, who to live with and the rest of the logistical nightmare it takes to move across country from California to PA.

Thanks

Congratulations Rosemarie! I have not yet received a decision from Villanova and will be in the same boat with you, if I get accepted to program. I also live in California.

I grew up near area and the Main Line is a pretty posh, safe place. It can be kind of pricey, so depending on your finances, you might want to rent an apartment with a roommate or two. If price is an issue and you're willing to commute a bit, your options will open up - especially if you take the R5 train (the station at Villanova is within walking distance of the campus).

Just taking a quick look at: http://www.myapartmentmap.com/colleges/pa/villanova_university/

I would say that all those offerings are in pretty good areas. Craigslist is another option - there are a lot of students in a small areas, so you shouldn't have too much trouble finding something.

A fair word of warning about Route 30 - traffic is bad in the mornings and evenings during crush hour and based on the schedule I've seen for the nursing school that's when our classes will begin, you have to decide if cheaper rent is worth the commute (and back in '02, there was always a nasty bottleneck around Villa).

Trin,

I know that Villanova offers freshmen free laptop to borrow and then later on provide them with a permanent one as a "gift". While we are not going in as a freshman, its unlikely a "free" laptop to us. That said, do you know if Villanova plans to offer any freebie to us who will be attending there? Perhaps, a "free" Villanova t-shirt or mug, maybe?

bleemme,

I have no idea. Admissions might know.

Hey everyone

Congrats on those admitted. I had my interview on the 27th and hope to hear back soon. I am also from ca :p

As to the laptop question, all bsnexpress students ARE a part of the laptop program so you do get the free laptop :)

hope to have good news to share with everyone soon and to meet all the CA folk

I'm glad if that is the case, although I already have two laptops. I won't mind another one. But if we can opt-out for an iPAD instead, it'll be sweeeeeeeeeeeet!

Hey everyone

I just got the acceptance letter :-)

Very happy and relieved to say the least.

The official one from Villanova is worded so poorly that I almost didnt catch that i was accepted until i saw the separate letter from the College of Nursing lol

I am from CALIFORNIA!

Do the california ppl want to start an email thread?

if so, please email me at

[email protected]

and I will add everyone who emails to the ongoing thread

:) cheers

Congrats everyone!!!...Thanks for the info about the laptops mimojadi! I was hoping that we would be a part of that program.

Congratulations to all! I can't wait till December for the rest of us ;-)
