Villanova BSN Express May 2017

Hello!

I am planning on applying to Villanova's BSN Express program that begins in May 2017.

Is there anyone else out there who is also applying to this program or who has applied and/or attended this program in the past? I would love to get some insite about the program from any current/former students.

I would also like to hear from anyone who has worked with Villanova students. Do they seem to be well-prepared for the demands of the nursing profession?

I just submitted my BSN Express application today...nothing like waiting til the day before the deadline!

I have an interview scheduled for Wednesday, and I don't know what to expect. Is it like a regular job interview -- why do you want to go here, what are your strengths/weaknesses, etc?

My interview was very relaxed. The questions were, "Why do you want to become a nurse?" etc. They want to know who you are, nothing tricky.

How did you get an interview so fast? I submitted mine on the 12 and sent my transcripts but its showing that they still haven't received them.

So I snail-mailed my unofficial transcripts to Villanova for initial review in early October, and Kristin Barkdoll confirmed receipt via email on October 6. She gave me some information about what prereqs counted and what classes I'd still have to take, and reminded me to finish my application by the 15th.

That same day (the 6th), I ordered my transcripts electronically through the national clearinghouse website. I had them sent directly to Kristin, and she retrieved them the same day. A week later, I got an email about the interview, and I finished my application the next day.

Did you get electronic copies of your transcripts or send them by the postal service? Maybe that has something to do with it.

I submitted my by postal service. I should have sent them months ago, I don't know why I waited so long. What classes do you still have to finish?

They won't conduct an interview unless all of your information is received. I am in the process of updating my loan information to the school. I updated my information really fast. I also expressed my goals and passion for nursing in my essay.

Whenever you're sending your information via mail, request certified mail which requires a signature and tracking number.

Hey everyone!

I applied to Villanova BSN Express May 2017 start date. I had my interview in September and my status changed last week to Decision Made-Notification Sent. I still haven't received anything from them, but I did receive a letter from financial aid earlier this week.

Me too. The office of admissions stating that we should be receiving a acceptance letter via email and regular mail. I went ahead and applied for my loan yesterday which is being sent to the school.
