Hello All,
I am very new and am thinking of making a career change, I know I want to go into nursing, however, I am not sure of the differences between all the titles LPN, RN, MA, RT. I am looking for a good resource to define the differences, and maybe give some info regarding education level, job description and pay range.
Maybe it would be best to just contact a local CC and set an appointment with someone in the nursing department.
Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

LPN, licened practical nurse
RN, Registred nurse
MA, Medical Assisten
RT Radiology tech.
you can actually google all the names and find out the differences i could post it here, but it'd take pages and pages of material.
you could do your first little project and find out the differences and then if any doubts pop up we well be definately glad to help ya!

I am a MA and we are almost the same as LPN but if your gonna go to school for your RN it may be wise to get your CNA or LPN for the experience. God Bless!!

It has an explanation of a whole lot of the medical-field TLA's.
