Ventura College Fall 2016 nursing applicants

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Hello everyone, I thought I would start a forum for this since I'm planning on applying myself to the VC nursing program for the Fall 2016 semester. Anyone else applying out there?

Oh I see :( well I believe because all the TEAS testing ends the 29th of this month so that is why I believe it may take till May. Well Good Luck to the both of us I hope we get in the same time :) I will keep you updated in May if I hear anything!

Yes I hope we do! I'll keep you posted as well :)

Hey Cathereen09! How was your TEAS test? I called the school and they said letters will go out towards the end of the month since they are waiting for the current semester to end on the 17th.

Hi Lauramitr!

It was okay I didn't do so well but I passed :) I talked to Karen Catrell at nursing dept. and she told me the same thing! :) Although, I am an alternate at the Santa Barbara program :) so if I don't get into SB then most likely I'm leaning on VC.

Oh cool! Congrats! Is that 3 semesters or 2? I got into the transition course at Antelope Valley which is 5 weeks but only 10 get into the 3rd semester in Fall and the rest in Spring so it's not for sure either. Ventura is a lot closer to me too so we will see!

Thank you! :) well it's not for sure. I was one point away from the person who got in. So I'm praying someone drops out! :( It is 2 semesters, The start date is October 17, 2016 and graduate in December 2017. Well good luck to you I hope you get in where it's convenient for you :) I live out here in LA area so I will be relocating.

Wow that is so annoying :( but if it's just one spot away someone is bound to go to a different school. I'm leaning more towards Ventura since it's 3 semesters..meaning hopefully more review time so I can be well prepared for the NCLEX. Don't really feel like rushing through 2 semesters at AVC and not passing. I'm just super paranoid.

Tell me about it! :bluecry1: Yeah I hope they only accepted 10 in total and we still have to attend orientation. Yeah Ventura is great I wish it took less time to get in because of the waiting list. That is so true! Though they have a 8 week transition course before the two semesters start so 14 months* in total. Haha I know what you mean though I heard from two of my coworker that went to SB and Ventura college they said both schools are solid when it comes to passing the NCLEX. :) My coworker said Ventura is a tough school but she is glad she went there because of all the knowledge she retained.

I got my acceptance letter to start for Fall 2016!!

Wow!! Congratulations Raz89!! :) Did they mail a letter to you or email?

Thanks! I got an email on Monday, and the letter in the mail yesterday :)

That's great!! :) I'm sure you are relieved and that is the hardest part! I see I think they let us know at the end of the month for the Advanced Placement. I hope to see you around if I get in :) Good luck to you!
