Hello! I am testing next week for the VEEB PN program and had a couple questions - if you pass, do you most likely get in? How long does it take to hear back? Any other information about this process and the program would be greatly appreciated!
No problem. That website was all over the place. I would say read the 11th grade main purpose stories with the 5-7 questions. One of the stories on the exam was a poem. Another was about buying a car. All the stories were random. One story was technically a chart with questions. The questions did ask the meaning of words and critical thinking questions about the text. The stories didn't have numbers next to each sentence/line. My best advice is to wear a watch so you don't take too long on a story. Our test started 10 late so we were anxious and tired before it began. I second guessed a few questions from each story. Do you have a test date?
No problem! Just don't spend too much time on one story. A lot of people were still reading when the time was up. I would say no more than 5 minutes for each story. I couldn't pull out my phone and there wasn't a clock on the wall. I had no idea how long I was taking on a particular story or how much time I had left to read the others! It took 12 days for the results to come by MAIL and boy was it a long 12 days. It's a very old school system.
Hi Txanxan,
I took about 20-30 minutes on the reading part. I used old ELA regents (only the multiple choice) to study. They are harder than the stories and questions you will get on the exam so maybe that's why I was able to breeze through it. It is only stories and 5-8 questions per story. This part of the entrance exam is 50 minutes
The 24 minutes is for the math and It's 40 questions. I posted earlier what's exactly on the math part and what I used to study.
Raccoon13 thanks so much. I have the website Veeb provided with a bunch of stories in there. Been practicing that. The questions they asked came from that stories. Nothing too hard. I want to know if the stories and the questions on the test are similar. So no Vocabulary words separately ?
Each story had about 5-7 questions. There were zero vocab questions or analogy questions. I focused on studying vocab which was a waste of time. They may switch up the test so at one point there was lots of vocab. They only asked "what is meant by the word fruitful in this story?” The test is in the basement and the woman came late. Showing up early was not necessary. The math did have one 1-2 algebra equations not sure why people can't remember that part. It had 1-2 pemdas and some ratios. The calculator did have +\- and square root button. It's a little annoying hearing that it was "so easy" because English isn't everyone's first language and not everyone is fresh out of high school.

I believe it is the equivalent to a 100, I'm not entirely sure. Also, did you eventually hear back?
