  1. For using the ELA regents to study, I used two ELA regent part 1 books. You would want to time yourself 48 minutes for 48 questions. You can find old NYS ELA regents online and the answer key too for free.
  2. Hi Txanxan, I took about 20-30 minutes on the reading part. I used old ELA regents (only the multiple choice) to study. They are harder than the stories and questions you will get on the exam so maybe that's why I was able to breeze through it. It is only stories and 5-8 questions per story. This part of the entrance exam is 50 minutes The 24 minutes is for the math and It's 40 questions. I posted earlier what's exactly on the math part and what I used to study.
  3. I believe it is the equivalent to a 100, I'm not entirely sure. Also, did you eventually hear back?
  4. Hi Trina1619 I used old ELA regents from jan/June/aug 2023-2024 The regents are harder than the reading on the actual exam, the website that VEEB recommends is pretty much like how the passages are formatted
  5. Hi Trina1619 there were no math word problems, it was adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing normal numbers (like 1 x 1 for example), mixed numbers, fractions, and decimals. there were two PEMDAS questions where it was like 1 + 2 x 3 - 2 (the answer would be 5 according to PEMDAS) and a couple of square root question (I think there was one where it was square root x another square root or a normal number) they give you scrap paper, a pencil and a very basic calculator
  6. Hi! I passed with a 12.9 in both subjects, I found out I passed after a week and half after taking the entrance exam. I would recommend you get your high school transcript now before you take the exam because it can take a while. Once you pass, you get accepted into the program, you just have to fill out paperwork, complete a background check (through castlebranch) and deposit payment on a 2 week deadline. You lose your spot if you do not get the paperwork in on time. The deadline should be exactly a month from when you took the entrance exam so for example if you took the entrance exam on March 6th, the deadline should be April 6th. Also the entrance exam is very easy, they use the TABE exam. I used Davis math review for nurses (has everything except square root but there's a square root button in the calculator and also practice PEMDAS) and NYS ELA regents to practice.
