Veeb Nassau County School of Practical Nursing - 2024

Published

Hello! I am testing next week for the VEEB PN program and had a couple questions - if you pass, do you most likely get in? How long does it take to hear back? Any other information about this process and the program would be greatly appreciated!

Trina. Exactly. I graduated HS in 2009. Honestly math is OK for me. I know I will do my best. It's just the reading part when it comes to finding the main Ideas of passages. Vocab words. What does the passages mean. If the questions are in the passages that is fine. Sometimes reading comprehension is tricky just like nursing. And plus not everyone are the same you know. I pray and review everyday until Saturday.

All the questions relate to the story. Nothing separate. Just pace yourself, I had about 5 minutes left over and I used that time to double check my answers. It was late, cold and raining outside. We were a slow reading group dreading traffic and ready for dinner LOL. We were all anxious and tired at the same time. You'll do just fine!

Thank you so much. I appreciate your answers. I hope I start this fall . I know it will not be easy but mentally and physically I am ready for it . That 11 months sounds good especially if you have kids. I am 35 and I pray my future starts here. Thanks again

Hello September 2024 class. My test is tomorrow. Wish me  luck. Hopefully I pass and join yall in September. Together we will make August next year 🙏🏾🙏🏾

I hope all went well. Do you mind sharing how it was?

It was pretty much basics math like adding, subtract, multiply, division, fraction, intergers, absolute value. The reading was like just stories and answer questions from the stories

Hi all, does anyone on this site have a syllabus of the LPN program from previous students, I would like to start reading the material.

Okay did you find it doable especially with the time limits? I am 22 but so nervous to take it LOL not sure why.

I took the exam in May and got my results back that I passed. It was very easy. I was nervous for the math because I am bad at math but most of the stuff you can type into your calculator. Know decimals, adding subtracting multiplying and dividing fractions, pemdas, percentages.

Hey I plan on taking the test for this upcoming July to start for September 2024!! Super nervous about graphs / fractions wish me luck 🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾

Hi there, don't be too concerned. The test is elementary material, it's very easy. I graduate from the program in about 4 weeks. Make sure you're mentally ready. Buckle down, get the best test scores in the beginning so you don't struggle with the finals. Best of luck

Okay thank you so much. How much time do they give you for the math portion?
