Hello has anyone took the entrance exam for the veeb lpn program in long island if so how was it?
If you live near Rosedale and would like to review/complete study packet email me
The guide is basically what I wrote already. It's a few posts back. It outlines the basics of everything. It's already basically two months till you guys start a module early or knowing some drugs ahead of time at this stage won't do much in terms of giving anyone an edge.
Main points are in that super long post I wrote and when you get there and actually see which teacher is which subject my post will make even more sense.
Veeb is highly doable just gotta focus review your quizzes regardless if you have a 60 or a 90 afterschool.
Go hard on quizzes cause finals are really hard and shouldn't be counted on for anything cause lots of people don't pass them but because they have a good quiz average they get to the next semesters no problem.
Clinicals are not super interesting but you get basics downpact. In Clinicals you do AM care tons and tons of AM care aka bed baths...lots..Throughout your Veeb semesters it will be 80% bed baths and 20% passing meds.
It is what it is. After about first semester you will never want to do anymore but you gotta do what you gotta do.
Just remember to study study study and don't be shocked when after they teach you 40 pages of materials the test is 2 days later. They will use the fact that it's an accelerated program every time you moan or complain.
Start off strong the initial first semester is super easy so if your struggling hard at that point see what your doing in your life that is distracting and cut it out cause second and third are sort of insane.
Second is the hardest but third isn't much different so after that initial first semester you will feel like you are top of your class material due to all the easy 80z and 90z you earned but remember that was just simple stuff
Every semester it resets. Its up to you to make the most of that reset. They always say everyone starts with a 100
What you get on your quizzes is what brings down that 100 average.
Hmm what else haven't I said in this topic so far..
I
Oh lab is dumb maybe they never do anything or teach anything and it's so dull use it as a study and or sleep period. We are trying to get them to change it for you guys so its more interesting and such if we accomplish it that's awesome for you guys.
You have 25 class hours you can miss
Pretty bad awesome and it's every semester 25 hours but by second you won't want to miss a day due to missing notes will haunt you when time to study and such.
I used my hours in a way like oh look we have lab last PEACE or like if its a class you know you don't need notes for it and then there is lab after that then you leave etc. Everyone is different but none the less be careful veeb is huge on hours
Clinical hours are much shorter I think it's 10 hours per semester and third semester you have 3 weeks of special clinical sites and you can't miss one day or be late or you get kicked out the program it's insane and super annoying but by third the only people left are the on point people so it's doable.
If you have any questions post them here I'll check in and answer as time permits.
Can we make an appointment to meet so I can purchase books from you?
