Hello has anyone took the entrance exam for the veeb lpn program in long island if so how was it?

I was the first person they called up for IDs I was wondering who you guys were also. I had on a green shirt tall darkskin. [email protected] nursemitch. For those in SI A we can form a study group. I already started my summer packet. Memorizing my prefixes. September is seriously right around the corner😆😆😆

Do we really need the workbooks, that comes with 2 of the textbooks....

im trying to get the books used, but they won't come with the workbooks..

will i be ok??

The workbooks don't come with answer keys so it doesn't matter. A lot of the books you won't even use. The tabers medical dictionary isn't really necessary I just used google or my other textbooks. You def need the drug guide though. And I suggest buying the newest edition because the drugs are constantly changing. All the other text books you can buy the older editions because you don't get homework or direct assignments only reading but the information is basically the same. All the books I used throughout the year are from last years class and I did fine. Make sure you buy a lot of white socks and white NURSING shoes not sneakers! They are strict about that in clinical. I got mine in Work n Gear but some people got the clog version in payless.

I was driving on my way home and I knew I recognized the uniform the lady had on at the bus stop so my bf said quick ask her if she is selling her books lol so we backed up and called her over lol as soon as she took off her glasses I said yay we went to highschool together lol anyways my point is wen I asked her for her books she said she never bought the books and that they never needed them because of the modules they get through out she said the only books u might need is the lady with the yellow module and purple module but other than that people used the internet so im not saying I wont completely not get the books but I will take my time no pressure

Yea you def need the yellow & pink don't even mess with that. Pharm class is reallllll lol and I would recommend the calculate with confidence book but you can get an old one just to practice dosage calculations cause the more you do the easier it gets. The rest you really can get off youtube vids or google.

I was at the school the other day also, and asked a student she said we dont use the books we rent them.í ½í¸•so I purchased the drug book calculate with confidence which when looking through it I'm glad i did and the pharmacology oh! And the fundamental of nursing care book.

Anyone can confirm this what did they tell you guys in orientation is a passing average did they say 70 or 80?

Us in school heard they were raising it to an 80 average is considered passing

I REALLY HOPE THAT ISN'T THE CASE

Just curious cause I gave alot of advice in this topic based on 70 averages....

Yeah the new teacher taking over for the Baby Peds course class she is heavy into the book so beware. She pushes the book alot even though none of us have it. Its pretty funny when she asks did you guys read..

She had to take over cause the old teacher got injured so she teaching us the last two weeks of our school. She will be your full time peds teacher though.

She also likes youtube ALOT lol
