VEEB LPN Program (info request)

U.S.A. New York

Published

Hi All,

I'll be starting at VEEB in the Fall and was wondering if there are any current or past VEEB students that can give some info on this program.

What are the Teachers like?

What are the required books?

Is the program as intense as they say?

Do they have articulation agreements with other nursing (RN) programs? If so, with who?

Are there any disadvantages in taking the LPN course outside of a Community College setting?

Do they provide job Placement at the end???

Any information that ANYONE can provide will be GREATLY appreciated! I really want to have a full understanding of what I'm in for. I have 2 year old Twins and I am a little worried about whether or not I'll be able to juggle school/studying and Family!

oh am not discourage i apply to other schools

:yeah: thats good. I wish you the best of luck on all your future endeavors

Thanks goalseeker and good luck to you too.

I did my entrance exam at eastern suffolk today so am waiting to hear from them.

All you need to review for the test is a GED review book. Basic math PEMDAS and integers. Vocab and Reading Comprehension. Yes the ladies in the library are rude. Yes VEEB takes forever to send your test results. Yes they want their money when they want it. Yes it will be all worth it when you graduate and have your certificate in hand. Good Luck everyone.

As far as I know its regular student loans.... I don't know too much about it because I paid out of pocket.

@trinionli...you are very straight to the point which is good...how is the program treating you thus far? are you able to work? also how mcuh do you have to come up with when you first get accepted?

Hi woodyswifey4evaa,

I studied from the GED book which I got for free from my local library. and the nursing entrance exam book I got for Adelphi University but the math is very different so I would go the GED route. I actually completed all the exams ahead of time. I will see if it worked in my favor soon enough lol. Its reading comprehension, vocabulary nd basic high school math. There is no science on the exam. The application fee is $200. Well worth it. I heard this school is still operating for a reason ;)

I'm at veeb now jus about to take the test ...excited and anxious wish me luck ... =)

Good luck!!!! Keep us posted.

I felt like it was very easy ... but the time they give you ... might not be enough for some ppl ...

if she said it was going to take a couple of months that must mean they are really serious about not doing the bridge program this year. they are most likely going to keep testing until they get their 200 students who were able to score at least an 11 on the reading and at least a 9 on the math.

:idea:hoping to be one of their candidates

yeah thats what she [proctor] said that she is going to keep testing until she fills "her seats" and she did mention the bridge program and i'm not sure but i think it was last year because she asked how many ppl where from the bridge course. she really stressed that she was going to be testing for a couple of months

yeah ...yesterday they said nothing about bridge program she said " if you fail you might want to refresh yourself then come back" so with that said i guess there's no bridge ...
