VEEB LPN Program (info request)

U.S.A. New York

Published

Hi All,

I'll be starting at VEEB in the Fall and was wondering if there are any current or past VEEB students that can give some info on this program.

What are the Teachers like?

What are the required books?

Is the program as intense as they say?

Do they have articulation agreements with other nursing (RN) programs? If so, with who?

Are there any disadvantages in taking the LPN course outside of a Community College setting?

Do they provide job Placement at the end???

Any information that ANYONE can provide will be GREATLY appreciated! I really want to have a full understanding of what I'm in for. I have 2 year old Twins and I am a little worried about whether or not I'll be able to juggle school/studying and Family!

This is getting more confusing by the week.......

Those accepted into the bridge program will test again for an opportunity to enter VEEB for fall 2010, but they will have priority over those that passed and handed in their refrences who tested in March? Is this correct?

If you have submitted your references you are basically in the program. The people in the bridge program do not have priority over those who have already submitted references but they may have priority over those who have not received info that they passed. (confusing I know)

Yes sad but true there going to see how many pass then send out letters but it's not easy many people don't make it because their coming work u can't be late and u have no if ands or buts . They may miss there bus anything can happen. So not everyone makes it throw this bridge one girl became so overwhlem she just drop out. So don't worry u get in . To those who are going bridge good luck it's hard work !!!!! Also no that not everyone who passed is on this page I was in the (60) when I tested.

OK, this makes alot more sense to me. Earlier I thought I had no hope at all....lol. Now that this is cleared up I will look forward to getting an acceptance letter. :D

Gabby10 I appreciate that!!!! That gives all time to start getting our finances in order to provide the down payment as well as the first tri-semester tuition.

Praise2u I don't mean to sound like a smart@$$ but VEEB also gave us an entrance test and there was plenty of advice on topics to study, there has to be an outline that we will all eventually have to follow.........

I was as anxious as you are, just about all of us where that ever started Veeb. What do you want to study? If you have already passed the test and waiting for a confirmation letter, after you receive your welcome letter you will be given a packet to study before you start. If you are in the bridge program you will receive material every day that you can study to retake the test over again. Now it would seem to me you would want to wait until you get the material before you go spending money on things you don't need. You will already need your money to get up your deposit if you don't already have it.

Wow, I think it's rediculous that people who failed are given more of an opportunity than the people that passed. That makes ABSOLUTELY no sense to me. I'm really contemplating wheather I should even attend this school!!!!!

Veeb is a first come first serve basis school. If you got your application early and passed you have probably already received a letter, if you got your application early and came real close on one of the exams you were probably offered the bridge program. If you got your application late but passed you may be on a waiting list because it is a first come first serve basis. However people may not pass the bridge, people may pass the bridge and find out the first few days of orientation that they cannot make the sacrifice. There are many factors that come into play, so don't give up, especially if you haven't received anything saying sorry but we are full at this time. ;).

The people in the bridge program have seats already allotted to them if they pass the entrance exam after taking the bridge program. These are people that tested high and maybe by a few points in 1 subject fell short. I know it does not seem fair, but we have been trying to post VEEB is a first come first serve basis school, get your applications early for the best chance.

Thanks Praise2u, it makes alot more sense to me. I appreciate you explaining things the way you did. It's just the other post that someone posted stated something different. I'm glad I still have some hope. Thanks:D

Hello everyone I am new to the board just had a few questions hopefully sum1 can answer. Around wen is the orientation for veeb and is the physical the same day or at a diffrent time? I know we have to pay for the physical but wen u don't have certain shots u have to pay extra is the drug test extra also? Do we have to pay any lab fees or anything bc I see the school is about getting money where ever and however from us I'm just trying to figure how much to save before I dig a hole I can't get out of

Hi Missme123,

Welcome to the board!. I think the best person to ask would be VEEB because all of us are still waiting to find out if we have even been accepted and as soon as we get our acceptance letters (hopefully) they will give us the information pertaining to orientation and so on. Hope this helps answer some of your questions, and like i said you can always call VEEB to know for sure.....Good Luck!.
