VEEB LPN Program (info request)

Hi All,

I'll be starting at VEEB in the Fall and was wondering if there are any current or past VEEB students that can give some info on this program.

What are the Teachers like?

What are the required books?

Is the program as intense as they say?

Do they have articulation agreements with other nursing (RN) programs? If so, with who?

Are there any disadvantages in taking the LPN course outside of a Community College setting?

Do they provide job Placement at the end???

Any information that ANYONE can provide will be GREATLY appreciated! I really want to have a full understanding of what I'm in for. I have 2 year old Twins and I am a little worried about whether or not I'll be able to juggle school/studying and Family!

I wish I had a car. I have to take the railroad to school. Are you going to drive to school?

I'm not to sure yet I need to put my car back in the shop!!!!!!!!!:smackingf

I live in the St. Albans area that's not to far from Laurelton, Do you plan on driving to school?

Too bad I am not starting this year because I live in St. Albans as well. I'm hoping to start with the class of 2011, and I will have to take the railroad as well unless I buy a little used car for about $2,000, Lol. Even then w. the gas $$, I'm not sure if that's the better route. I believe the LIRR is $200 (+ or -) per month with unlimited rides.

Hello, how is everyone doing? Im starting class Sept 2 and im wondering if anyone have their schedule yet? Or will they be giving u that info the 1st day of class?

I don't have a schedule either. I'm almost positive we will get it on the first day of school.

I'm pretty sure we won't need the shoes until clinicals.

Yes, I'm sure we don't need the shoes for the first day...only for clinicals, which don't even start til October.

Is anyone else as nervous as I am???
