:lol2:hello everyone, i just finished lpn school and was wondering if i should take a prep course. i really dont want to take a course that tries to teach the nursing material all over in such a short amount of time. im looking for one that'll teach me the ropes on how to answer the questions and think the way nclex wants me to think.... also, a part of me just thought of getting cd's and doing as many questions and viewing the rationales and reading the saunders comprehensive review for pn instead of taking the prep course. these classes can be really expensive and im kinda broke..... does anyone have any good suggestions on how to study for the nclex? thanks

Hello, how is everyone doing? Im starting class Sept 2 and im wondering if anyone have their schedule yet? Or will they be giving u that info the 1st day of class?

you can try to go to the barnes and nobles on 5th ave, i think its between 16th and 17th st. they sell text books and some are used which are good and cheap. the great thing about it is that they dont charge tax because u r a student....so try it out...best of luck....

i know, it sounds crazy to me too..but everytime i call the same lady picks up and it would be nice to speak to someone else..lol...jus dont know what else to do.

i called and they told me that there are ppl who are dropping out of the program and the seats are being filled and i should wait because they will be calling and sending out letters during june and july...i guess imma wait and see what happens.......thanks guys

ok,lol and smh.... i took the entrance test for veeb back in march and i passed...they mailed me a letter to send out my ref letters and so i did. and i havent heard from them yet...i called them to find out whats going on to see if im accepted or not. many people tell me that once i pass the exam im good to go. but im nervous cause wen i called VEEB they said that they started sending out acceptance letters out already, and on a previous post i have, someone replied and said VEEB started sendin out the letters abt a month ago....what should i do?

ya, they told me to send in my ref. letters... i did that about 2 weeks ago and havent heard from them yet....im hoping i got in that school...did u hear anything yet?

sry to hear that but in the mean time u can look into other schools to see if u can get in.....dont waste time at all, because the more you wait its gonna be hard to get back track to study for the entrance exam...remember VEEB isnt the only school u can get into....pick your head up and keep trying....hope all is well

hello everyone, i just took the entrance exam for veeb this morning and i thought it went well..so, hopefully i passed. i just wanted to know if anyone knew about st.vincent catholic medical center school of nursing program... if anyone know any thing about it... is it a good program? i heard that veeb is a wonderful school but i want to get into a school that offfers an associated degree and st.vincent offers that...(if you of any other schools that offers an associates in the brooklyn, nyc area plz post them).and i dont know if ill be able to continue my education with the lpn from veeb
