Nursing Students SRNA

Published

Hi everyone!

wanted to start a thread for ppl applying to VCU DNAP program starting January 2020, where we can all share our stats and talk through the application process! Goodluck to all ?

Congrats to everyone who landed an interview ! Are they still sending more out? According to last years it looks like a few went out until the end of April ? Good luck!

Does anyone know what the format/interview questions are like?

Found on google ( Drips)

Based on last years posts, they were still sending out interview notifications mid April.

Hi all,

I am a first year SRNA for the DNAP program here at VCU and wanted to ease some of your minds during this interview period. Congrats to everyone making it to this point this program is amazing! For those still awaiting an email to interview, do not worry. Invites last year carried out until middle to end of April. As far as the interview process goes without giving away too much information: the program does a great job at easing your nerves and try to keep the day easy going. Last year we interviewed with 3 separate program directors, lasting anywhere from 5-10 minutes in length each. Additionally, there is a critical care test you are required to take. Good luck to all!

Interviewing May 2nd! Feel free to PM if you are.

hey dsverds, interviewing may 2nd too! do you know where you are staying yet? site wouldn't let me pm you

For those who have received an invite, when did you submit your app? Was it early or more towards the deadline?

I submitted my app like 20 minutes before the deadline and I have interview on May 1st

I think they are heavy on GRE scores on 300 and above. I will encourage you to start some online graduate course, to give you a boost next time i did not get in but i will be finishing up my psychiatric NP and focus on medication management. They earn between 150 to 180k, which is not shabby.

Goodluck to everyone.

Good luck to everyone interviewing this month. Please share your experiences if you don't mind

Did anyone who interviewed today ask when we might hear back? It didn’t occur to me to ask until I was otw home?
