VCC/UCF or SSC/UCF concurrent Fall 2017

Published

Hey All!

I've been searching high and low for any threads for the Valencia/UCF or SeminoleState/UCF concurrent students looking to start in the fall 2017. If any of you are out there, I'd love to hear from you! Maybe to get each other's stats and keep in touch through everything we have to do. Good luck to all in your nursing school endeavors!

Im in the same boat as you!

I have a recal GPA of 3.77 and a science GPA of 4.0 with my teas at 83.3 but im still in that 1 credit class right now. But from what i saw last year on the admission stats it shows that 74 or whatever got in and only 34 had all pre reqs complete at the time. So theirs still a great chance to get in!

Be horrible if the reason why we dont get in is because we didnt complete a single one credit class thats in progress at the time of applications..... rest of my stats are great and would put me in category one but now im in category 5 at F.......

Hey! Are you with with VCC or SSC or both? Definitely keep us posted :). Good luck to you! Hopefully we all got this in the bag :)

Im doing both!

I hope i can get SSC just becuase it is less credits and i live right by UCF so its a little closer of a drive, but because im missing that one credit nutrition class i am really hoping they look at everything else first before deciding im not qualified because of the missing class. But if not then ill give Valencia a chance. I heard that or read somewhere hear that if the people that get accepted to SSC and also applied to both programs that they take their name off the Valencia list if they accept the Seminole seat so hopefully that increases the chances also!

Yea, I'm so upset about my AP English class. Didn't even occur to me that I'd need to send the scores if it was already counted on my official transcripts from FSU. Live and learn I guess. I hope that the grades get there in time, I'll be so bummed if I have to wait until Spring. Here's to hoping it works out for all of us!

Has anyone heard of some averages for like last years TEAS scores? I'm just nervous my TEAS score is low compared to some and that will be what's holding me back from the Valencia application.

I wasn't able to find any numbers for the concurrent options but last years traditional BSN average teas was 85.7% for the Orlando campus a bit lower for the cocoa and Daytona campuses. I personally think you'll be okay bc your score is really good and your GPAs are excellent!

So I got an email today about the SSC/UCF, "We had a much larger number of applicants than the past two years so it will be a competitive applicant pool". And now I'm really freaking out !

Your stats are amazing! I personally don't think you have anything to worry about. :) From those alone I think you have it in the bag! But yea, I sent in my applications to VC/UCF today and I'm just a nervous wreck. This is going to be the longest 6-8weeks ever. Good luck!!

I got the same email and i also emailed them from a personal question and they mentioned they have a very large number or applicants with in progress classes so anyone that had an in progress class this semester

I'm so happy you made this thread! I am applying for both SSC and Valencia concurrent as well!

My stats for SSC are:

Overall GPA: 3.48

Science GPA: 3.66

Pre REQ GPA: 3.46

TEAS: 83.3

Although I have an outstanding AP 2 class so I know I will be in the last tier.... :( and I made an A in the class!! Ugh

I wish everyone the best of luck!!

QUESTION: On Valencia's concurrent online application, one of the first statements says "Transcripts from these colleges have been evaluated by Valencia" and then right under it it says No transcripts have been evaluated.

I have taken all of my courses at Valencia. Does anyone else see this on their application???? Should it say my transcripts have been evaluated????

Thank you in advance!!
