I wanted to start a thread for those of us applying to Vanderbilt's Master of Science in Nursing (MS) PreSpecialty Entry for Spring 2026 (non-nursing BS holders).
I submitted my application last week before the July 15 deadline. I'm applying for the Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) track, but I'd love to hear from others pursuing different specialties too.
A few questions to get us started:
When did you apply, and for which specialty?
Have you received any updates or confirmation emails since submitting?
If you've been accepted already, what was the timeline like?

I think they're staggering it by last name. You and I both have last names of "R" while it appears 2 of the three people here who say they've been accepted appear to have last names towards the first half of the alphabet

My last name starts with an H! So you're correct in that. Although, it should have been sent to everyone.
they did call me to personally check if I received it because it's a new system. So I would check the portal just incase. Crossing my fingers for you!

Hmmm that seems odd. I would imagine it would be all at once. I kinda wish I didn't know folks found out cut now I'll be stressing all night. 🤣
