I wanted to start a thread for those of us applying to Vanderbilt's Master of Science in Nursing (MS) PreSpecialty Entry for Spring 2026 (non-nursing BS holders).
I submitted my application last week before the July 15 deadline. I'm applying for the Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) track, but I'd love to hear from others pursuing different specialties too.
A few questions to get us started:
When did you apply, and for which specialty?
Have you received any updates or confirmation emails since submitting?
If you've been accepted already, what was the timeline like?

At this point they better be accepting more than 30 of us 😭 last time I talked to them they said they accept around 30 for Spring start and 150-200 for fall.
Just that this cycle is more competitive than they expected. My advisor isn't that helpful whenever I email her. I call every week hoping for some type of update. 😭
Just got an email back and said that they will send out decisions by the end of the month so most likely this week... has anyone else gotten different responses?

I spoke with someone in admissions yesterday who said the earliest would be the 30th.

Around 60!!
Earliest? Oof. This makes things challenging for those of us who have to figure out finances and relocation with families. On top of finishing prerequisites 🫠
