UPDATE: Changes: New Log In Requirement

Hello everyone!

As I'm sure everyone knows, Vanderbilt is projected to open applications in August for the new DNP Nurse Anesthesia Program. I wanted to start this discussion thread for those thinking about applying, so we can discuss updates or any advice for first time CRNA school applicants such as myself. Best of luck to you all!

Hello everyone, I am curious about how competition with anesthesiology residents would be at Vanderbilt CRNA clinical sites since is a big hospital system that probably have students from everywhere?

I know the program is integrated from day one which means is required for students to be in Nashville from day one. Correct me if I am wrong. Did they mention possibility of working maybe part time for first year in the open house?

CICU 2 years, CVICU 1 year

BLS, PALS, ACLS, CCRN

No graduate courses. Veteran.

The video on the website says they don't recommend working but they also don't mandate that you don't.

I felt confident about how I did but you never know what they're looking for. Now it's just a waiting game. Of course in hindsight I wish I'd included some other things in my answers but I still feel good. How did you feel about yours?

What was the interview like?

Its a Kira interview, pre-recorded questions, not terrible. I won't go into detail because we are all competing for the same few spots, but my nerves made it worse than it was.

Just for future reference for next cycle, was it mostly EI or clinical questions?
