UPDATE: Changes: New Log In Requirement

Hello everyone!

As I'm sure everyone knows, Vanderbilt is projected to open applications in August for the new DNP Nurse Anesthesia Program. I wanted to start this discussion thread for those thinking about applying, so we can discuss updates or any advice for first time CRNA school applicants such as myself. Best of luck to you all!

All the people that are getting the invites and rejection. Can I ask yall what was your overall and science GPA?

Overall was 2.9 Science was 2.89. Life hit me in my first degree (Biology) had a 4.0 in Nursing school though and have a 4.0 in 18 Graduate credits for MSN in nursing Informatics. Thought the increase in trajectory would be enough 🤷🏾‍♀️

-I had overall 3.5 and science 3.3, even got a compliment on my application from the admissions director but just received a rejection letter. I'm just so heartbroken to know I won't be able to start this upcoming cycle bc this was the only school I applied to:/

I didn't have the highest GPA.

My cumulative is 3.65.

Science is 3.5.

BSN 3.45

MSN 4.0

Last 60 4.0 - Retook Ochem, A/P 2, and Stats since I've graduated long time ago. I've taken Advanced Pharm and Advanced Patho as well.

Overall I think 3.3, science 3.2. In fact, took biochem in undergrad got a D, repeated that course in undergrad again, got a B. 
 

they must be really living up to the holistic approach mission!

Why don't you just call them (615.322.3800) or send them an email, [email protected]?

I wouldn't call them.. maybe email to check on your application status, but calling them can seem pushy

Does anyone know how many people they plan on interviewing?

I got an email today with the interview reminder but never got the initial email saying I was selected for an interview. Anyone else had this happen? I emailed them to ask about it.

I received an invite to interview but didn't receive the Kira assessment link so I emailed Kiratalent for it (that's what the email said to do if you don't receive it). My portal still says under review for anyone wondering. That hasn't updated.
