Vanderbilt Pre-Specialty (for non-RNs) MSN 2013

Hi All,

There doesn't seem to be a thread yet for pre-specialty applicants (the thread going now seems to consist mostly of grad entry), so I thought I'd start one! Any other pre-specialty folks out there? I am from Seattle and applied for the PMHNP track.

Looking forward to seeing who turns up!

Thank you for offering to talk to us this early in the game! Can I find you on FB?

No FB, but feel free to email me I created that email just for this site because it has funny rules regarding messaging on here (I don't have the time for 15 topics ha!), but I know people have specific concerns and questions regarding the upcoming year and hopefully I can tailor a more thorough answer through email.

Received my acceptance letter for the Women's Health program! So grateful and excited!

Has anyone from ACNP heard yet?? I'm completely stressed out!

aps125 - here's a question I think will help a lot of people! Where do most of the students live? Do most people live in Nashville / in neighborhoods near Vanderbilt, or do a lot of people live farther out / in the suburbs? Right now I'm looking at living in Antioch, but I don't want to be the only one far away if everyone else is close!

I called today and they said my application was still under faculty review? Should I be concerned?

I just got my acceptance letter in the mail!

Congrats @worth11!

@vandydani They sent out letters for some of the specialties, and some of the specialty applicants are still under review. Did you get an email from recently?

Specializes in Midwifery/Women's Health.

Vandydani- what's your specialty?

Psych. I got the email but one of my friends already got her letter for the specialty.

Thanks! Best of luck to everyone, I definitely have my fingers crossed for all of you guys!!

Vandydani, I'm psych too and haven't gotten a letter but I got the email last Friday. Did your friend get accepted? I'm guessing they're just not done with decisions yet.
