Vanderbilt Pre-Specialty (for non-RNs) MSN 2013

Hi All,

There doesn't seem to be a thread yet for pre-specialty Vandy applicants (the thread going now seems to consist mostly of grad entry), so I thought I'd start one! Any other pre-specialty folks out there? I am from Seattle and applied for the PMHNP track.

Looking forward to seeing who turns up!

Hey guys congratulations on those of you who have been accepted. I am about to finish my pre-specialty year and am more than happy to try to answer any questions you might have. It's a huge amount of information to process, and I really wish I had someone to ask questions to before I started last year. I know there are a few others out there like myself willing to offer advice so hopefully I can add to whatever they have already told you. There is a lot of things regarding our program that are great, but then there are some things you have to learn first hand that aren't exactly on par with how the program is outlined through the admission process. Congratulations again! I know all of you are eager to begin, let me know if I can elaborate on any areas of concern for y'all!

if you would like vandy hopeful you can private message me and I would be happy to answer more specific questions. I enjoy the program a lot, I don't dislike it, just wish I had had more info on the pre-specialty year before I started.
