Vanderbilt Nurse Residency Winter 2021

Hi guys!

I have not seen a thread for the Vanderbilt Nurse Residency program for Winter 2021 and thought I'd make one! I am currently in the process of applying. I am on my first part of my application. I would love to hear whose applying, what unit they are applying to and your experience so far!

Did anyone get an email or anything after submitting the second section of their application? Also thanks for letting me know about the pediatric hem/onc! Luckily I placed PICU as my #1, and hopefully they will just assume I want any other peds acute as my secondary. What were everyone elses track choices?

I did get an email saying they'd received it and that they would start communicating "Next Steps" (assuming interviews) in the last week of August! The suspense might kill me before then.. stay tuned! I got that email about 36 hours after submitting.

Tell me about it! The suspense my goodness. I do appreciate that they are quick, early and precise with their program

How is everyone holding up? I am currently at a point where I think about whether or not I will get an interview at least three times per day.

Yes! They have stated in an email that we will hear back sometime in the last week of August.

I also applied to NICU! I’m excited, but so nervous for the end of August.

GUYS! Great news! Received an email and text about an interview today for the adult acute care surgical track!! So hopefully they’ll be getting in touching with y’all soon too ?
